House Manager and Renovation Design committee member
Dacie Moses House Co-Manager, September 2020 – March 2021
I worked as the Co-Manager of the Dacie Moses (affectionately known as “The Cookie House”). In addition to baking for students in isolation and quarantine, I managed a team of 4 student workers. We had COVID safe events, both in-person with limited capacity brunches and baking sessions, and virtual gatherings over Discord.
I was attracted to this position because of the unique challenge in a pandemic year! Dacie Moses is long regarded as a hearth for community: which is even more important nowadays. I wanted to be involved with Dacie Moses during this time because I knew I could make an impact and engage the community. The house is also planned to go under renovation for Summer 2022, and I had the opportunity to be involved with the design and renovation process as the house resident.

Please view this video for a reflection on my time spent at Dacie’s for the Dacie Moses Time Capsule with my former supervisor and house manager, Julia Uleberg-Swanson (March 2023).
